For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Grace and peace to you and your household in the name of Jesus Christ!  Susan and I are so excited to share our journey in Christ together in ministry with the people of Trinity and the surrounding area of Fountain Inn.

Susan and I met through her music, fell in love and married in 2005. We share our home with one other family member. Hank is a white Siberian Husky and a rescue who brings us much joy. Susan and I love to camp in our RV and enjoy spending time outdoors, especially visiting the Appalachian Mountains. I also love to fish, especially from my kayak or by fly fishing mountain streams. Susan is a program director for a nonprofit, Preserving Our Southern Appalachian Music, and a guitar instructor for the nonprofit. She has written many songs and has published two CDs with her former group, Oolenoy Valley. Susan teaches approximately 70 students (children and adults) in private and group classes to play traditional Appalachian music on the guitar. She is the Program Director for three of the nonprofit’s Evening Music Programs

I have an adult daughter, Amanda Snow, who lives in Weaverville, NC. Amanda is a Budget Specialist for the Buncombe County School System.

I am a native of Spartanburg County, graduated from James F. Byrnes High School, received a diploma in Tool and Die and an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Technology from Spartanburg Technical College, a BA Degree from USC-Upstate, and a Master of Divinity from Erskine Theological Seminary. I’m a lifelong Methodist and I received my call to ministry late in life.

Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of my life. My theology is Wesleyan, focusing on the grace and love of the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  My theology emphasizes salvation through what God has done for us through the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and what he does in us through the work of the Holy Spirit.  Scripture is primary in our understanding of God’s will for our lives and must be contextualized into life through tradition, reason, and experience.

Susan and I truly believe that God has his hand on us and on you. We believe the best days for Trinity are ahead of us. We believe with all our hearts these words that Paul writes in Ephesians 3:20 “God, is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us.”

Blessings in Christ,

Murray & Susan

I am so thankful to serve as Office Administrator at Trinity UMC. I have felt such a warm and loving welcome to this wonderful family. I am blessed.

I grew up in Greenville, SC attending Washington Avenue Baptist Church. I was raised by two of the most wonderful, God-fearing parents who blessed me with ensuring that I had a strong foundation in the Lord. I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was very young. I have two wonderful sisters, one of which presented me with the Gospel and led me to Jesus.

I have been married since 1995 to a loving Christian man, Scott Morrison, who is a Human Resources Director in the Hospital setting. I have two handsome sons, Jackson (22 yrs old) and Cameron (19 yrs old), and a beautiful daughter, Abi (13 yrs old). We are members of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley and live in Powdersville.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administrator from Anderson University in 1994. After graduating I became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. I worked in that field for 20 years when I decided to leave the health care industry and stay at home with my family. Once I decided to go back to work, God opened this door to me. I couldn’t be happier. I look forward to serving God and the Trinity family for a long time.

Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed are those who trust in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.

I am so very blessed!

I am 25 years old and love every minute of being involved with youth ministry! I grew up in Trinity UMC and spent 4 years away while off at Anderson University, majoring in Christian Ministry with a concentration in youth! I spent my summers during college (2013, 2014, & 2015) working at Lake Junaluska as part of their summer youth programs staff! Following graduation (May 2016) in August, I was offered to come back to Trinity and become the Director of Youth Ministries, which there was no way I could turn that down. This church means so much to me and it is amazing working with the youth here and teaching them to be the hands and feet of Jesus by being Fishers of Men, which is where our youth name comes from, Hooked!

My favorite Bible Verse is: James 4:14
Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.

I grew up in Fountain Inn and attended Trinity as far back as I can remember. I came to know Christ as my Lord and Savior at a youth event in Awanita Valley when I was 14. I graduated from Hillcrest High School in 2010 and went on to attend Anderson University, graduating in 2014 with a B.A. in Christian Ministries. I was married in 2017 to my wonderful husband, Daniel and shortly after we bought our first puppy, Finn. We had our daughter, Elliot on December 31st of 2018! Our first three years of marriage were spent in Rockledge and Cocoa, Florida where Daniel grew up and where his family currently resides.

My musical career began while taking piano lessons in Elementary school, but I secretly fell in love with the sound of the guitar which lead me to ask my parents for lessons a few years later. Since then I have been a part of many worship bands in the Greenville area. I love leading worship and seeing God’s people moved to worship Him through music! In my free time I enjoy listening to 70s/80s, country and worship music and bass fishing when the weather is nice!

"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.“   (Matthew 13:44)

I am a native of Fountain Inn, SC and a lifelong member of Trinity UMC. I received the privilege in March of 2017 to start serving my church in a different way than I had before. I am the children’s director and I enjoy spending time with the children of TUMC and watching them grow into wonderful servants. I think it is important to implement serving those around you at a young age, so we focus a lot on outreach ministries.

Now some information about me, I graduated from Hillcrest High School in 2012 and then went to Wofford College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2016. In October of 2016, I married my husband, whom I met at Salkehatchie, a Methodist church ministry. We lived in Fountain Inn for two years and then moved to Laurens, SC. We have two fur babies who we love so much, Addie and Flip. Both of our families are very close so on the weekends you can find us hanging out with them. Alongside my job at Trinity, I am in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Piedmont Technical College. This is a profession that I am very passionate about. I graduate in May of 2020 and I plan to either go into pediatrics or geriatrics.

Two Bible verses that I love come from a series that I have done with the children of Trinity. These promises God makes us are wonderful reminders that he is working in our lives. God works in all of us and as members of the church we all need to open our hearts to help God build His church.

Philippians 2:13

“God is working in you.”

Matthew 16:18

“I will build my church.”

My mother had me sing my first solo in church when I was three years old. That was the beginning of a long love and career in music. I grew up I Greenville, SC and completed my education at Wade Hampton High School, Furman University and Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. My first husband was a Baptist preacher, and I served as Minister of Music in each church where he served as Pastor. I began taking piano lessons when I was six years old and voice lessons when I was fourteen years old. I taught piano students when I was in the tenths grade in High School and continue to teach piano and voice students today. I began as Minister of Music for Patterson Chapel United Methodist Church twenty-seven years ago and continue that position now. I joined Trinity United Methodist Church as the Minister of Music in 2003 and continue that position now. My first husband passed away and I am now married to Larry Coker. We continue to live in Greenville, SC and share a blended family consisting of seven wonderful boys and their families.

God has blessed me with a life filled with music and I am thankful to be allowed to serve Him through my churches.

I'm the lead teacher at Trinity's Mom's Morning Out.  I've been working in the program since it began in 2000.  I currently teach the four year old children but I've taught in every class at some point during the last 19 years.  I love my job and feel privileged to be able to connect with the children and their families and tell them about Jesus.  I've made lots of friends throughout the years and that is something that I truly treasure about my job.
About me personally, I am originally from West Virginia.  I grew up on a farm with my dad and mom and my brother and sister.  I went to college at Marshall University and worked in retail after college.  My husband and I met in 1992 and married in 1993 and moved to Virginia with his job for 3 years.  After that we moved to Fountain Inn, SC in 1996 and have been here ever since.  I have two daughters.  My oldest is Emily and she is a pharmacist in Columbia SC.  My youngest is Jo and she attends Hillcrest High School.  We stay busy with different interests but we love to spend time together as a family as much as possible.
My Favorite Bible verse is   Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
